The Centres locaux de développement (CLD) were created in 1998, in partnership with the Québec government and the municipalités régionales de comté (MRC) or the cities, depending on the case, further to the adoption of the policy regarding support for local and regional development. Their mandate is to encourage the social and economic development of the community they serve.
The CLD Beauharnois-Salaberry is therefore dedicated to the socio-economic development of the territory of the MRC de Beauharnois-Salaberry in order to maintain and create jobs, thereby increasing collective enrichment. The organization aims to create, maintain and promote a climate that is conducive to such development, as stimulate entrepreneurship, provide the means and services that are necessary to the investors and developers of socio-economic projects, including social economy enterprises.
